Recreational Program - paddle with the "OPS Dragonflies"

This team is also looking to take a step up.  The team is now 4 years old and is adding a month of practices and one more regatta as compared to last year.   This team practices once a week.   The team will be led by coach Michael O'Reilly, who is joining us new this year.   The team had some great races last year (bringing medals home from Woodstock), and this year they will see action in London and Canada Day for the first time.   We hope to have a roster of 26 paddlers on the team.  Join us for some serious fun on the water!

Includes 13 weeks of practices (once a week), and entry into 3 dragon boat festivals.
Program runs June 3 - Sept. 7, with practices taking place Tuesdays, 7:00pm-8:00pm at Ashbridges' Bay.

First weekly practice is Tuesday June 3rd.
The 3 regattas are: Canada Day (July 1), London (Aug.16), and the two-day GWN Challenge (Sept.6-7).

COST:   $240  << That's 13 practices and 4 days of racing!   (at an average of only $14 per event)

* Note: All Dragonflies must also separately buy a team T-Shirt (if you don't have one, ~$15).   Orders will be taken in June.
** Members who contributed to our BUK Dragon Boat in 2003 should deduct $16 from your program fees above.
Competitive program - paddle with the "OPS Civil Dragons"

This team is looking to move up in the standings through a focused and progressive program of practices and regattas led by coach Rob Doyle.   The team practices twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and we plan to have a roster of 26 paddlers.   Rob was one of two co-coaches who joined us last year, and helped lead us to our best showing at the GWN Challenge ever (we won our division).   Both new paddlers and experienced paddlers from other teams are welcome to join our dynamic team this year!  The team has a core of paddlers who have paddled with the team for 5-6 years.   This WILL be our best year ever!

Includes 18 weeks of practices (twice a week) , 1 training camp, and 5 dragon boat festivals.
Program runs May 6 - Sept. 7, with practices taking place Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:00pm-7:00pm at Ashbridges' Bay.

   > Includes two on-water practices, video review, stretching and Yoga, athlete evaluation, time trials.
   > This camp is run by Scott Murray, from whom we have hired our coaches this year.

First weekly practice is Tuesday May 6th.
The 5 regattas are: Milton (May 31), Canada Day (July 1), Montreal (July 26-27), London (Aug.16), and GWN (Sept.6-7).
